According to sources, the Williams driver was experimenting with a slight colour change when everything went pear-shaped, leaving him with a vivid hue not entirely in keeping with what Schumacher had in mind. The only immediate remedy was to turn to the bleach, resulting in the shock of blond locks.
Rumours that the original attempt produced a thatch reminiscent of brother Michael's Ferrari have yet to be confirmed....
