UK TV's first ever interactive British GP.

Sky digital will show the first ever interactive broadcast of the British Grand Prix this weekend.

Viewers can enjoy live uninterrupted interactive coverage of all practice, warm-up and qualifying sessions together with the race itself, starting Friday morning. Three fully interactive replays of the race will also be broadcast on Sunday and Monday evenings.

As well as choosing between eight different viewing options F1 Digital + viewers can hear John Watson, the only British Formula 1 TV commentator to have won the British Grand Prix.

Viewers can enjoy live uninterrupted interactive coverage of all practice, warm-up and qualifying sessions together with the race itself, starting Friday morning. Three fully interactive replays of the race will also be broadcast on Sunday and Monday evenings.

As well as choosing between eight different viewing options F1 Digital + viewers can hear John Watson, the only British Formula 1 TV commentator to have won the British Grand Prix.

The digital TV compound at the GP responsible for producing the trackside images and audio is one of the world's most advanced and comprises:

- 300 production personnel
- 300 tons of equipment
- 24 track cameras
- 12 pit lane cameras
- two on-board cameras on each car
- 40km of fibre optic cable

There is also a mini-TV studio in every team garage enabling direct two-way interviews with drivers and team personnel.

First ever interactive British GP...

The compound provides the pictures and audio for F1 digital + which uses Sky's interactive technology to create eight different viewing options within one channel:

- Master: Live uninterrupted studio-based F1 coverage presented by Matt Lorenzo with studio guests.

- Super: Best of the action with commentary by John Watson and Ben Edwards.

- Track A: Live coverage dedicated to the leaders.

- Track B: Live coverage of the current 'major battle' wherever it is in the field.

- Data: A stream of live data from practice, qualifying and race action.

- On-Board: Live feeds from selected cars.

- Pit Lane: Live pits and paddock coverage including driver interviews, together with technical analysis graphics.

- Highlights: Weekend action highlights updated constantly.

At any time during the broadcasts, viewers can access F1 statistics and information - including team and driver biographies, track and circuit data together with news reports and performance times - by pressing the red button on the Sky remote.

The 3-day Grand Prix weekend costs ?12 and Sky digital viewers can order an event by calling 08702 418 111 or, from 48 hours before coverage starts, through their TV by using their digital remote control. A season ticket is now available for the remaining eight races of the season at the special price of ?50.
