Floods test Budapest.
The dramatic flooding causing devastation across Europe is giving the Formula One fraternity a cause for concern as the water level continues to rise in Budapest.
The floods, which have killed an estimated 100 people in Europe thus far, mean that the roads along side the Danube through the centre of Budapest are all under water and the level is rising by as much as 24 inches a day.

The main hotels used by the Formula One fraternity are only feet away from where the river level has now reached. By Sunday, the hotels where the drivers, mechanics and media are staying could have water lapping at their doors.
The circuit itself is safe from the flooding as it is several miles away from downtown Budapest on high ground and race day itself is expected to see a return to hot weather. Teams are expected to be putting in more practice than they would otherwise on Friday to help dial in some wet weather set-up just in case the rain returns for race day.
