WilliamsF1 confirm test drivers for 2003.

The BMW WilliamsF1 team has confirmed through their official website, that Ricardo Sperafico will be one of their official test drivers in 2003, linking up with Marc Gene.

Sperafico will work on the development of the new FW25, alongside race drivers, Ralf Schumacher and Juan Pablo Montoya, and also of course alongside Gene, who joined WilliamsF1 as a test driver in 2001.

Sperafico will work on the development of the new FW25, alongside race drivers, Ralf Schumacher and Juan Pablo Montoya, and also of course alongside Gene, who joined WilliamsF1 as a test driver in 2001.

Sperafico, who won the Italian Euro 3000 series in 2000, took part in the FIA International F3000 series the last two years, finishing fifth in the drivers championship in 2002, having raced with the Petrobras Junior team.

According to the Brazilian the deal is a positive move, and he hopes to following Antonio Pizzonia, who tested for Williams last year, before moving onto a race seat with Jaguar.

Sperafico told Crash.net Brazil: "To be in contact with a Formula 1 team like this is a great opportunity. It should help advance my career and will provide me with good experience for the future."
