Ferrari awarded the Pegasus prize for sport.
In the historic centre of Florence Friday evening, the Ferrari team was decorated with the Pegasus prize for Sport.
Instituted by the Region of Tuscany in 1996 and usually awarded to athletes and companies that have excelled in the sporting field, the prize was, on this special occasion, awarded instead to the Maranello Scuderia in view of the strong links between it and the Region of Tuscany.
For right in the heart of Tuscany lies Mugello, one of the circuits of the Maranello outfit, and used by Ferrari for Formula 1 testing and the Ferrari Challenge races.

In Florence to accept the prize was a Ferrari delegation made up of Jean Todt, General Director of Gestione Sportiva, Stefano Domenicali, Director of Formula 1 racing activities, Massimo Balocchi, Test Team Logistic Responsible, Massimo Atzori, Test Team Engineer, Gianni Petterlini, Chief mechanic Test Team, and Andrea Greppi, Test Car Responsible.
In recognition of the award, Ferrari presented the delegate from the Region of Tuscany with a winglet of the F2002, the 2002 F1 World Championship winning car.
