Q&A: Gwilym Mason-Evans.

B.A.R-Honda logistics and special events manager Gwilym Mason-Evans talks about his role at the Brackley based team.

What do you love about your job?

Gwilym Mason-Evans:
The challenge and the fact that every day is different.

What don't you like about your job?

GM-E:
The sense of frustration when we've all worked so hard and something breaks on the car.

What's your best moment in F1 to date?

GM-E:
The sense of frustration when we've all worked so hard and something breaks on the car.

What's your best moment in F1 to date?

GM-E:
My one and only win in F1 when I was with Benetton back in 1985. It was a sweet moment and one I'll always remember.

Q:
If you didn't do this what would you do?

GM-E:
Become a sheep farmer in Wales.

Q:
What do you do over a race weekend?

GM-E:
I'm on call but I also watch the races religiously. I still get a big buzz from it.

Q:
What's the most important thing that you do?

GM-E:
Supporting the race and test team truckies so that they can rely on me to solve any problem they might throw at me.

Q:
How many people do you work with?

GM-E:
LGV drivers and four van drivers.

Q:
Who do you rely on the most?

GM-E:
Russell Dunford, the logistics co-ordinator and my right hand man! Communication between us is essential.

Q:
How long have you been doing this?

GM-E:
I've been in F1 since 1984 but with Lucky Strike B.A.R Honda since '98.

Q:
When will you stop?

GM-E:
When coming to work is not enjoyable anymore.

Q:
What is your favourite race venue?

GM-E:
It used to be Adelaide because it was such a great party place. Now it's Montreal because there are so many places to go and it's such a nice place to visit.
