Minardi boss, Paul Stoddart was celebrating a win at the weekend, after Minardi Team Asia's Indonesian driver Moreno Soeprapto took his first win in the Formula BMW Asian championship at the Grand Prix support event in Shanghai.
At one stage it seemed the team were on their way to a one-two finish as it was Tyson Sy who crossed the line in first place only to be informed that he was given a 1-minute penalty for a jump-start.

"Moreno drove a very good race, he battled his way to the front and then paced himself to the end, having seen him take pole position during the Bahrain GP event I am sure this driver has a very good future," said Stoddart.
"I was a shame for Tyson but once again he proved that he is the Philippines top driver and we shall be following his career carefully."
Moreno meanwhile was delighted with his victory.
"This is the best moment in my career," he said, "to win at the Grand Prix is unbelievable with so many spectators and media watching. Standing on the podium it was a proud moment for me, winning for Indonesia and my team."
