Widely-travelled Formula One engineer Peter Kerr passed away last week, at the age of 73.
Born in New Zealand, Kerr's career took him, first, to Formula Two, where he worked with Jochen Rindt and, as a result, Bernie Ecclestone, who managed the Austrian until his untimely death in 1970. From there, he enjoyed spells in F1 with March - where he met current FIA president Max Mosley - Shadow and Arrows, when the latter split away from the former. He remained with Arrows until retiring, making a name for himself in R&D. He later reunited with Ecclestone, working on technologies designed to bring excitement back to the sport, and became an associate member of the BRDC in 2000.
Along with many in motorsport, Crash.net extends its condolences to Peter's family and friends.
