Brundle Snr shows Jnr the way at Spa.

On his one-off return to racing last weekend, Martin Brundle showed he had lost none of his flair by registering a trio of top ten finishes in the Formula Palmer Audi Championship at Spa-Francorchamps - out-scoring his promising teenage son Alex along the way.
Brundle Jnr currently sits in sixth position in the FPA title standings courtesy of a maiden pole position and three rostrum finishes from the opening eight races, as he bids to clinch the crown in his second season in the single-seater series that has seen such as Andy Priaulx, Gary Paffett, Justin Wilson and Robbie Kerr go on to bigger and better things.
The 17-year-old was given a driving lesson around the daunting Ardennes circuit, however, being out-qualified by eight positions in race two and getting beaten to the chequered flag two times out of three. His results - a sixth, ninth and tenth-placed finish - have brought him within three points of third spot in the title chase, but it was dad who was the real star of the show.
He may not have raced competitively since his last Le Mans 24 Hours appearance with Bentley back in 2001, but still the ITV-F1 commentator - at 48 more than three decades older than his son - began the second race from sixth on the grid up against 21 rivals, and progressively improved to cross the line in the races eighth, seventh and sixth, in front of Alex in the latter two outings.
"I enjoyed racing this weekend as much as ever," he remarked afterwards. "When an FPA car became available, this unique window of opportunity to race against my son at the magnificent Spa track was an easy decision. I was very pleased and even relieved to find that I still have speed and commitment.
"I've been really impressed by the young drivers in this year's Formula Palmer Audi Championship. This weekend was good hard racing, and these aspiring young hot shoes take no prisoners; they are fully on it.
"In the third race I had a cracking tussle with Russian Ivan Lukashevich - even though I'm three times his age! A great experience all round for me."
