Mick Schumacher completes Spa demo run in father’s title-winning Benetton
Mick Schumacher took part in a special demonstration run in his father Michael’s title-winning Benetton B194 car at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps on Sunday, marking 25 years since his maiden Formula 1 victory.
Schumacher Jr., 18, completed an initial test in the Benetton car earlier this month to prepare for the run, which took place prior to the start of Sunday’s Belgian Grand Prix.
Sporting a special half-and-half helmet combining his own design with his father’s, Schumacher Jr. completed a lap behind the wheel of the car in front of packed grandstands.

“Amazing, amazing. It was incredible to be able to drive it,” Schumacher Jr. said.
“I’m just amazed by the car. It was awesome. It’s difficult to compare [to a Formula 3 car] for sure. It’s two different things.
“To be able to drive the F1 car here is just amazing and I’m really honoured to do that here.”
The F3 racer has one podium to his name so far this season, claimed at Monza, having finished second in both the Italian and German Formula 4 series last year.
Schumacher Sr. continues to be cared for at his home in Switzerland after sustaining severe head injuries in a skiing accident in December 2013.
