Verstappen wins third straight FIA Personality of the Year award

Max Verstappen picked up his third consecutive FIA Personality of the Year award on Friday night at the end-of-season prize giving and gala in Paris.

Verstappen, 20, finished sixth in the F1 drivers' championship for Red Bull this year, taking two race wins and producing a number of outstanding performances that captured the attention of the paddock and the watching world.

Verstappen capped off his season by winning a vote by permanently accredited journalists from the FIA's world championships to be named as the Personality of the Year for the third year in a row.

Max Verstappen picked up his third consecutive FIA Personality of the Year award on Friday night at the end-of-season prize giving and gala in Paris.

Verstappen capped off his season by winning a vote by permanently accredited journalists from the FIA's world championships to be named as the Personality of the Year for the third year in a row.

"Three in a row! Very proud to win the FIA Personality of the Year Award again," Verstappen wrote on Twitter after picking up his trophy.

"Thank you Red Bull Racing, all the fans and everyone else who supported me! I will keep pushing."

The Personality of the Year award was introduced by the FIA in 2013, with Robert Kubica and Lewis Hamilton being the first two winners before the start of Verstappen's streak.
