Sainz enjoys 'awesome experience' at Rallye Monte Carlo
Formula 1 driver Carlos Sainz Jr. took a first step towards following in his father's rallying footsteps by completing one stage of the Rallye Monte Carlo on Sunday in a Renault Megane R.S.
The son of rallying legend Carlos Sainz Sr., Sainz Jr. was a special guest for the final day of the FIA World Rally Championship season-opener in Monte Carlo as Sebastien Ogier kicked off his title defence with a convincing victory.

The son of rallying legend Carlos Sainz Sr., Sainz Jr. was a special guest for the final day of the FIA World Rally Championship season-opener in Monte Carlo as Sebastien Ogier kicked off his title defence with a convincing victory.
Sainz completed the La Cabanette-Col de Braus power stage behind the wheel of a Renault Megane R.S., the designated course car for the rally, calling it an "awesome experience".
Sainz has confirmed he is keen to enter some rallies in the future, but will next be in racing action at the start of the new F1 season in Australia on March 25.
