The Swiss team will start its new technical and title sponsor agreement with Alfa Romeo this year after unveiling the news in Italy last December and will line up with Ferrari junior Charles Leclerc for his F1 rookie year alongside the retained Marcus Ericsson.
Alfa Romeo has confirmed its launch date of Tuesday 20th February, two days before the Ferrari and Mercedes F1 team launches, but are yet to release details on the location or format of the launch presentation.
The team has confirmed it will stick with its current F1 pattern of car names by graduating to the C37. Sauber will receive current Ferrari power units for 2018 after struggling with year-old engines last season which ultimately saw the team’s performance drop away from the rest of the field.
