Latifi to miss F1 testing after serious infection
Force India reserve driver Nicholas Latifi will miss this week's Formula 1 pre-season test in Barcelona after being hospitalised by a serious infection.
Formula 2 racer Latifi joined Force India in a junior role for 2018 back in January, and was listed as part of its driver line-up for the opening F1 test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, slated to take Thursday's running.
However, the Canadian revealed on Twitter on Monday morning that he would be ruled out for the next four weeks after a stint in hospital with a serious infection, but was now recovering at home.

"Disappointed I can't be at the ForceIndiaF1 launch in Barcelona this morning. A serious infection put me in hospital last week and I'm now recovering at home," Latifi tweeted.
"Aiming to be back on track in the next four weeks. Have to say, the VJM11 [car] looks fantastic!"
Force India is yet to confirm who will replace Latifi for Thursday's running. Full-time drivers Esteban Ocon and Sergio Perez will drive the newly-launched VJM11 car on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively, with GP3 driver Nikita Mazepin enjoying a first extended run-out on Monday.
