Magnussen: Haas 'not getting excited' despite P2 finish
Kevin Magnussen says he is "not getting excited" despite finishing second for Haas on the penultimate day of Formula 1 pre-season testing in Barcelona, remaining wary about the programmes other teams ran.
Magnussen turned in a fastest time of 1:18.360 to finish P2, completing his best lap on the supersoft tyre as Sebastian Vettel produced a new track record to finish over one second clear at the top of the timesheets.

Magnussen turned in a fastest time of 1:18.360 to finish P2, completing his best lap on the supersoft tyre as Sebastian Vettel produced a new track record to finish over one second clear at the top of the timesheets.
Haas enjoyed its most productive day of the test so far as Magnussen racked up 153 laps, but the Dane urged caution about the team's chances going into the new season.
"We have to wait and see. We don’t know what other people can do, or if other people have a lot of fuel in the car," Magnussen said.
"We are not getting excited already. We feel like we have improved our car, and we definitely have improved our car, but so has everyone else. So we will have to wait until Melbourne to really get a better idea of where we are going to be.
"Then the first couple of races will probably show another picture. Hopefully we can do well, but it is too early to say now."
Magnussen will next drive the Haas VF-18 car during opening practice for the Australian Grand Prix later this month, taking place on March 23.
"I feel personally ready now," Magnussen said. "After today having done almost two race runs, and lot of miles in the car, I feel like I am at least ready for the race.
"Of course we would love to have more time working on the car before the first race, but then we don’t have that and neither does anybody else.
"So considering everything and the limited running we have had this winter testing, we feel pretty ready."
