Stroll's father, Lawrence Stroll, led a consortium which completed the takeover of Force India last month after the team entered administration, with the rebranded 'Racing Point Force India' team making its official F1 debut at the Belgian Grand Prix.
Stroll Jr. is widely expected to move to Force India for 2019, and has already completed a seat fitting with the team. But he is also known to be under consideration for an early switch across from Williams before the end of the current season.
Despite the Force India links, Stroll is refusing to dwell on his future, instead taking each race weekend as it comes and focusing on the current tasks with Williams as it looks to build on only its second points finish of the season at Monza last Sunday.
"We will see what the future holds. I’m just taking it weekend by weekend," Stroll said.
"When I put my helmet on, I’m a racing driver and whatever car I’m in, I’m just trying to get the most out of it.
"It’s been a challenging year. For us a team we are definitely not where we want to be.
"We have to enjoy a day like [Monza]. They haven’t come often this year. We definitely have to digest this good result and go to Singapore with a positive attitude."
Stroll denied there had been a shift in the atmosphere at Williams since his father's investment in Force India, believing his relationships at the team remain strong.
"We are very professional," Stroll said. "We have achieved success in the past. I have a great relationship with everyone upstairs, the engineering office and everyone in this team.
"We are still very close. We want to have a great rest of the year. for sure."
Williams team boss Claire Williams said over the Italian Grand Prix weekend she doubted there would be any changes in line-up until the Russian Grand Prix at the end of the month at the earliest, with reserve driver Robert Kubica leading the charge to replace Stroll should he join Force India early.
