AlphaTauri presents AT01 in team’s new F1 era
The rebranded Scuderia AlphaTauri Honda Formula 1 team has revealed its new look along with the AT01 which will contest the 2020 season.
With the Faenza-based squad, formerly called Toro Rosso, taking its fresh appearance from Red Bull’s clothing line, the Italian squad presented its new colours at Red Bull’s Hangar-7 in Salzburg with help from its drivers Pierre Gasly and Daniil Kvyat.
The fresh look sees the team adopt a dark blue, black and white colour scheme for 2020 in a move away from the more recent red, blue and silver combination.

AlphaTauri became the penultimate F1 team to reveal a part of its 2020 line-up or livery following Alfa Romeo’s shakedown test at Fiorano and Mercedes’ own shakedown run at Silverstone today. Williams remain the final team to unveil any of its 2020 set-up with a digital presentation planned for Monday February 17.

AlphaTauri showed off its new livery at its launch event with the AT01 car set to complete a shakedown at Misano tomorrow with Kvyat at the wheel.
The Italian team begins its third season with power unit partners Honda as it looks to build on an impressive 2019 campaign which resulted in the highlights of two podiums; Kvyat’s third place at the German Grand Prix and Gasly’s second place at the Brazilian Grand Prix.
The two rostrum results were key to its charge to sixth place in last year’s F1 world constructors’ championship, its best finish since 2008, while the team also recorded its highest-ever points tally in a single F1 season.
Gasly and Kvyat return to form its 2020 driver line-up having both had stints at the senior Red Bull squad in recent years.
F1 pre-season testing gets underway at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on February 19.
