Norris to shave hair off after coronavirus fundraising effort
Lando Norris has promised to cut all of his hair off after running a Twitch Stream Aid fundraiser which gained over $12,000.
The McLaren driver took part in a virtual racing event on Saturday to help raise money for charity amid the coronavirus pandemic. The British driver set the donation target at $10,000 to get him to shave his hair off and the fundraiser duly exceeded $12,000, leaving him with only one option.

“Thanks to all my viewers for raising over $12,000 by the end total for Twitch Stream Aid and the fight against Covid-19,” Norris wrote on Instagram. “I do have to cut all my hair off now though...”
While Norris is yet to show proof he has carried out the shave, he is expected to reveal his new look in the coming days.
McLaren team-mate Carlos Sainz responded to Norris on Instagram: “Oh boy I’m ready.”
The 20-year-old’s novel way to help out during the coronavirus crisis comes as part of Formula 1’s wider response during its ongoing 2020 season delays.
Mercedes has teamed up with University College London engineers and clinicians to produce breathing aids which are less invasive than ventilators to be used by coronavirus patients who do not require intensive care.
