F1 plans to run the opening eight European-based races without fans in the current situation in its efforts to get the campaign underway, while strict health and safety protocols will be enforced on the limited personnel present at grand prix events.
F1 has so far said it is targeting 15-18 races still but is still finalising calendar plans. F1 has now confirmed it will hold two races on consecutive weekends at the Red Bull Ring on July 5 and July 12. Thereafter the series is set to move onto Hungary and then to Silverstone for two more races before heading on to Spain, Belgium and Italy for what is now eight confirmed races.
F1 plans to then travel to Eurasia, Asia, the Americas and the Middle East to round off the season.
