The team revealed a showcar bearing its “main livery” consisting of a new blue and pink colour scheme that will be run at 21 of the 23 races this season on Monday evening at a launch event in Paris.

Alpine also presented a ‘flipped’ livery that it will use for the opening two rounds in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia to highlight its new title sponsorship deal with BWT.

The Austrian water treatment company previously held a title sponsorship with Force India and Racing Point that saw the Silverstone-based outfit run its cars in a pink livery.

BWT’s branding and colours features predominantly on both the A522 car and the overalls of drivers Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon.

Alpine will conduct a first shakedown run with the A522 on Tuesday at Barcelona, one day prior to the opening pre-season test, which takes place between February 23-25.
