Motopark reveal third driver Raghunathan for EURO F3
Mahaveer Raghunathan feels he is ready for the challenge of the European Formula 3 Championship after the Indian was announced as Motopark's third driver for the 2015 season.
The 16-year-old will join the already announced Sam MacLeod and Markus Pommer at the German team after impressing in the Italian Formula 4 series last year, finishing 12th in the series. The Indian driver tested for numerous Euro F3 teams over the winter before signing for Motopark.
"I look forward to the next step in my career in motorsport, with Motopark," Raghunathan said. "I enjoyed the tests with the team who were with me every step of the way and I feel comfortable with them. The Euro F3 championship will be a challenge for a young beginner like me and I plan to focus on doing my best in each race."
Motopark team manager Timo Rumpfkeil says the Italian F4 series is an ideal place to help build a Euro F3 driver.
"The Italian Beginner Series has traditionally been a very good stepping stone on the way to professionalism," Rumpfkeil said. "Mahaveer Raghunathan adapted to Formula 4 very well and has convinced us that we can mould him into a successful Formula 3 driver."
