Taylor beats Courtney to F3 pole.
Mark Taylor snatched pole position for the second race in the Avon Tyres British F3 Championship at Silverstone this morning (Sunday June 2).
The British racer took the top slot by just eight thousandths of a second from championship leader James Courtney.
Courtney swept straight to the head of the time sheets early in the session but then came under attack from a clutch of drivers. Eventually it was Taylor who squeezed ahead by a tiny margin to knock the Australian off the top slot.

Just two tenths of a second covered the top seven drivers in a superbly competitive session. Behind Courtney, came Fabio Carbone, Richard Antinucci, Robbie Kerr, Bruce Jouanny and Heikki Kovalainen who were all in contention for pole.
In the session for the Scholarship class, Sweeney Racing again topped the times. However, this time is was Canadian Billy Asaro who set the pace from team-mate Adam Carroll.
