British F3 frontrunner Mike Conway has retained Toshiba Electronic Imaging Solutions and as a principal sponsor for his 2006 campaign, which sees him switch to the Raikkonen Robertson Racing team.

The blue-chip company first supported Conway in his maiden F3 season after graduating at reigning British FRenault champion, and were sufficiently impressed with his performances over the 22-race series to continue the association into 2006.

"Toshiba worked closely with Mike last year, and we deeply enjoyed his philosophy of hard work, attention to detail and focus on achieving quality results," Toshiba TEC UK MD Adam Sheppard explained, "We are therefore delighted to continue our association with him this year, and wish him all the best in his campaign."

Conway, who won one race with the Fortec team in 2005, admitted that securing the backing of an existing sponsor was a positive start to his second season in the top flight British single-seater series.

"It is a real honour to be strongly affiliated with Toshiba," the 22-year old said, "We have a lot of things planned together, they are really fired up and it is great to have them involved as part of the team. We are all really excited about it and aim to further build the relationship over the year."

Toshiba executives will be visiting Raikkonen Robertson Racing for the unveiling of Conway's 2006 livery in the next few weeks.
