di Grassi vents fury after Formula E DQ
An angry Lucas di Grassi has vowed to do all he can to clinch the 2014/15 Formula E title after seeing his title hopes suffer a blow following his Berlin ePrix disqualification.
The Brazilian had marched ahead overall after clinching his second win around the Berlinn Templehof Airport circuit, di Grassi winning almost from start-to-finish.
However, post-race scrutineering revealed the Audi Sport ABT car was using an ineligible front wing, with modified fairings had been modified to include internal metal reinforcing rods.
The result means his bitter rival Nelson Piquet Jr has assumed the lead of the overall standings, two points ahead of Sebastien Buemi, while di Grassi now faces a 10 point deficit with three races in Moscow and London remaining.
Angry to have had his win taken away from him, di Grassi says he will 'kick Piquet and Buemi ass' in the next few races...
