Buemi takes pole for New York Formula E finale
Sebastien Buemi produced a stunning lap in damp conditions to secure pole position for Sunday's Formula E season finale in New York City, edging out Techeetah drivers Andre Lotterer and Jean-Eric Vergne by less than one-tenth of a second.
After taking pole for Saturday's race just 24 hours earlier, Buemi doubled up despite a damp circuit following rain through the morning, bouncing back from a 0.1 second deficit to provisional pole-sitter Lotterer heading into the final sector to edge clear by 0.048 seconds after a lap of 1m17.973s.

Buemi's charge to pole denied Techeetah the three bonus points that would have aided their bid for the teams' championship, with the Chinese squad leading Audi by just five points heading into the final race of the season.
Both Audi drivers joined Lotterer and newly-crowned drivers' champion Vergne in the final Super Pole session, with Daniel Abt taking fourth, finishing less than two-tenths off Buemi's lap. Lucas di Grassi had the advantage of being the last man to run, only to make a mistake early in his lap and hit the wall, leaving him fifth on the grid.
Jaguar drivers Mitch Evans and Nelson Piquet Jr. failed to make the most of their final group position in the wet conditions, missing out on a Super Pole berth in sixth and seventh respectively. Sam Bird finished eighth for DS Virgin Racing, leaving him vulnerable in the race for second in the drivers' championship against di Grassi. Felix Rosenqvist and Stephane Sarrazin completed the top 10 for Mahindra and Andretti respectively.
Jose Maria Lopez and Jerome d'Ambrosio will line up 11th and 12th respectively for Dragon ahead of Nick Heidfeld in 13th for Mahindra. After his Saturday heroics, Tom Dillmann came back down to earth for Venturi, qualifying 14th ahead of Luca Filippi and Nicolas Prost, both of whom struggled going out in the first group.
Maro Engel qualified 17th ahead of Alex Lynn, with Ma Qinghua taking P19 as he substituted for the injured Oliver Turvey. Ma will require the stewards' dispensation to enter the race, though, as he failed to set a time within 107 percent of the fastest lap in either practice or qualifying. Antonio Felix da Costa will line up last on the grid after failing to complete a lap due to an issue on his Andretti car.
