Mann completes Dragon’s FE line-up for Saudi Arabia test
IndyCar driver Pippa Mann will drive for GEOX Dragon during the in-season Formula E test in Saudi Arabia.
The test, which takes place a day after the 2018/2019 season-opening Ad Diriyah E-Prix, features a diverse line-up aimed at giving female talent an opportunity to impress in the all-electric series.
Mann will get behind the wheel of the number #6 GEOX Dragon car for her first experience of Formula E machinery, joining the American squad’s line-up that also includes full-time drivers Jose Maria Lopez and Max Gunther.

“I have actually never driven an electric car, let alone an electric race car,” Pippa said.
“So to have this opportunity to return to my roots and drive an open wheel car again on a tight street course is something that I am looking forward to immensely.
“I am very excited to the challenge of driving a Formula E car, and I applaud Formula E for their forward thinking in creating opportunities for female racers.
“It is empowering to have the chance to engage with a championship series who is giving the opportunity to elevate female talent the right way.”
Mann failed to qualify for this year’s Indy 500, having finished 17th in the 2017 event with Dale Coyne Racing.
Dragon team principal and owner Jay Penske added: “We are looking forward to working with Pippa at the test in Riyadh.
“She has a lot of experience across a wide range of motorsports disciplines, and we expect her to provide valuable feedback on the Penske EV-3 package.”
