European Minardi F3000 to complete 2002 season.
European Minardi F3000 announced at the Nurburgring that it will compete in all remaining rounds of the 2002 series.
There had been concern the Ledbury-based squad might have to withdraw from the championship for commercial reasons, but a restructuring of the team has now assured its continued participation in what is generally acknowledged to be the final proving ground for young racing drivers before graduation to Formula One.

Joining European Minardi F3000 at the Nurburgring, and driving for the team in the remaining seven rounds of this year's championship, will be Alex Muller. The 23-year-old German, who has followed the traditional route of karting, Formula Renault, and Formula Three, and has been a winner in every single-seater racing series in which he has competed, returned to the FIA F3000 series this season, initially with the Durango team.
He joins Brazilian, Alex Sperafico, who has been with the European Minardi squad from the beginning of the current season.
"We are pleased to have concluded financial arrangements that will allow European Minardi F3000 to complete the 2002 Championship in a fully competitive fashion and to enjoy a stable future," comments team manager Richard Salisbury.
"We are also pleased to welcome Alex Muller aboard. He comes to us with some strong single-seater racing credentials and we expect that, teamed with Alex Sperafico, European Minardi 3000 will have a very competitive driver line-up for the remainder of the season."
