Carlin makes GP2 move with DPR.
Carlin Motorsport has announced a partnership with David Price Racing to move into GP2 for the 2007 season.
The team, which will enter the F1 feeder series under the name Carlin DPR, will be headed by Carlin team principal Trevor Carlin, while DPR team boss David Price will also remain involved.
Running from the former Brabham F1 factory in Chessington purchased by Carlin earlier in the year, the GP2 programme will be assisted by the use of the in-house wind tunnel which is also being used for F3 development work.

Running from the former Brabham F1 factory in Chessington purchased by Carlin earlier in the year, the GP2 programme will be assisted by the use of the in-house wind tunnel which is also being used for F3 development work.
The GP2 programme will see Carlin compete on four fronts next year, alongside the World Series, Formula Three and Formula BMW.
"I'm absolutely delighted that we are moving into GP2 next season," Carlin said. "Dave and I have come to an agreement which is beneficial to both of us and having him involved will be invaluable. I am confident that the team will be able to build on the successes that DPR has achieved in its last two years in GP2."
Price added that he was thrilled to join forces with Carlin for the new season with the time being right to enter the partnership.
"Trevor and I have known each other for over twenty years and we've always worked well together," he said. "We've been discussing this for several months and now the time is right from both of our perspectives to form this alliance.
"It puts the top on the Carlin pyramid of race series, from the 15-year-old drivers entering the sport, right through to the door of F1."
Bruno Senna and Michael Patrizi have both tested for DPR since the conclusion of the 2006 season.
