GP2 Bahrain 2013: Qualifying times
Fabio Leimer repeated his domination of the GP2 timesheets at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir on Friday, once again eclipsing the rest of the field by almost a full second on the 3.363-mile, 15-turn track.
DAMS' Marcus Ericsson was the best of the rest and will line up alongside the Racing Engineering car for the start of Saturday afternoon's feature race. Felipe Nasr (Carlin) and Stefano Coletti (Rapax) claimed second row honours.
The two new faces in the GP2 paddock, Caterham's Alexander Rossi and Hilmer Motorport's Robin Frijns, will also have impressive grid positions for their maiden feeder series race, with the American taking seventh place and the Dutchman qualifying in tenth,
ART's James Calado could only manage the 11th fastest time, which combined with his ten place grid penalty for causing an accident in the sprint race at Malaysia last month means he will start tomorrow's race in a lowly 21st position and has it all to do.
