Herbert spotted at Michigan.

Under fire Jaguar Racing star Johnny Herbert was an interested spectator at last weekend's CART event at Michigan Speedway - and it was unlikely that he was just paying fellow Brit Dario Franchitti a return visit.

The ex-pat Scot tested for Jaguar at Silverstone last week, and is strongly tipped to replace Herbert at the Milton Keynes outfit for 2001. Herbert, in return, has intimated that he may turn his attentions to America and either CART of the Indy Racing League, in order to fulfil his dream of racing at Indianapolis.

''I'm really only here to show my face, speak to a few people, and see what the interest is like,'' he told journalists.
