Trio to return at Mid Ohio.

With the Fed-Ex Championship Series taking a well earned break for one weekend, Christian Fittipaldi and Takuya Kurosawa will be using the time to bring themselves back to full fitness while Norberto Fontana will be grateful that the series is back on circuits that turn right aswell as left.

All three drivers were missing from last Sunday's Target Grand Prix of Chicago but will be back in time for the 13th round of the 20 race series at the scenic road course in Lexington Ohio.

All three drivers were missing from last Sunday's Target Grand Prix of Chicago but will be back in time for the 13th round of the 20 race series at the scenic road course in Lexington Ohio.

Kurosawa was ruled out of the Chicago event after being knocked unconscious in qualifying for the previous week's Michigan 500 while Fittipaldi suffered the same fate when he crashed in Friday practice on the one mile oval. CART rules state that any driver knocked unconscious in a crash is prohibited from racing for seven days. Neither driver sustained any other injuries in the accidents and will be back at 100% at Mid Ohio.

Fontana meanwhile has sat out the last two races as he is not yet comfortable with oval racing. The Argentinean, who is in his rookie year in the Fed-Ex Series, suffered a bizarre injury when he crashed at the Motegi oval in Japan, dislodging several particles in his inner ear which in turn caused him to develop vertigo and lose his sense of balance.

Fontana's team-owner, John Della Penna put Memo Gidley in the Reynard-Toyota at Michigan and Chicago, the American bringing the car home in the points on both occasions. It is likely that Gidley will return to the car for the remaining two oval races on the Champ Car schedule
