Tracy said: "Starting from practice times makes me pretty happy, obviously, because we had a good run this morning. I've got a great race car. We did some work in the shop on the 7-post rig and the KOOL car's been great right off the trailer. I'm really, really happy with it. It was very good in the draft and that's pretty important. It's a long race and you want to be ready to attack with about 30 or 40 laps to go. You're not going to drive away from anybody so you've got to be ready at the end. It's good to be sitting second with just two or three laps to go, because it always seems to come down to two or three guys. You don't want to be leading, for sure."

His teammate Dario Franchitti added in contrast: "I'm not happy to be starting at the back, but I've won a race from there in the last few weeks (Cleveland, July 1) so it's possible to have a good run even from last. Fortunately, this is a long race and Michigan is as good a place as any to be starting in the last row. It's going to be difficult coming through the field, though. We'll just have to have patience and a bit of luck and hopefully things will go our way to put Team KOOL Green back in victory lane."
