CART holds off on Germany decision.
The sanctioning body of the FedEx Championship Series has decided to wait for further news before taking action that could see the postponement of this weekend's German 500 at the Lausitzring.
CART, like both NASCAR and the Indy Racing League, has been caught up in the events which swept the world yesterday as terrorists attacked the World Trade Centre in New York, the Pentagon in Washington and, it is believed, attempted to attack President George Bush's other retreat, Camp David.

While NASCAR has already called off Friday's activities at Loudon, CART currently awaits further information from the USA before taking decisive action with regard to its inaugural European event.
It has issued the following statement confirming the safety of all personnel flying to Germany at the time of the attacks.
"Many individuals in the CART community are in Germany for this Saturday's German 500 at EuroSpeedway in Lausitz. Each is safe and secure and has been closely following the tragic events that occurred Tuesday in the US. CART extends its deepest sympathy to those impacted by these incidences. CART is working closely with the US government officials to assess the situation and will provide additional information regarding this weekend's event, as it becomes available."
Any decision taken with regard to the Lausitzring event may also affect the following weekend's Rockingham 500 in Britain.
