McHugh named VP of Operations of Skip Barber LLC.

Skip Barber LLC has announced the appointment of David McHugh to the position of Senior Vice President of Operations.

McHugh will oversee the company's extensive Operations, which include the Skip Barber Racing School, Dodge/Skip Barber Driving School, Skip Barber Race Series and the Barber Dodge Pro Series.

Additionally, McHugh will manage Skip Barber's scheduling, travel, programming, and instructor-related issues. He will report to Skip Barber LLC, CEO Aaron Hollander.

Recently, McHugh was a Project Manager for Volvo Cars of North America, a position he graduated to after a short time as a Quality Follow-up Engineer. At Volvo, McHugh oversaw many of the major technological projects that reshaped Volvo and formed its position in the U.S. market including the development of VADIS - Volvo's PC based interactive diagnostic and information system.

McHugh contributed to Volvo's new electrical architecture and established several Ecommerce websites for vehicle service information and software download. He also was involved in the creation of diagnostic strategies and service processes.

McHugh has held operations positions in two companies he formed early in his career; British Motor Developments, a vintage sports car restoration and service shop, and Pequot Racing Service, a manufacturer of replacement parts for Reynard and Van Diemen racing cars. Pequot Racing has also served as an importer of Formula Ford racing cars from England.

In immersing himself in motorsports, McHugh raced several of the Formula Fords that he had imported in regional and national races in the Northeast. He graduated from the Skip Barber Racing School in 1991.
