Transnet Racing formed for Atlantic challenge.
The thriving Toyota Atlantic series welcomed another new member with the formation of Transnet Racing to contest the 2002 championship.

Originally from Caracas, Garcia most recently competed in the USFF2000 National Championship in 1998 and 1999, where he achieved several top-ten finishes en route to eleventh place in points in 1998 and 13th in 1999. Garcia was also awarded 'Best Drive' awards twice in 1998 and four times during the 1999 season.
Transnet Racing is in the process of finalising sponsorship agreements, and will be making a formal announcement in the next few weeks.
The team's initial plans will focus solely on Formula Atlantic racing for two years, before hopefully increasing operations and expanding into the CART FedEx Championship series.
