Three Indy entries for Kelley; Treadway files 2nd.

Kelley Racing filed three entries for the Indianapolis 500 for the second consecutive year, including one for two-time winner Al Unser Jr., while Treadway & Associates Racing filed a second entry for the Greatest Spectacle in Racing.

Kelley became the second team to file three entries for the 86th Indianapolis 500 on May 26 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Team Green was the first.

Kelley Racing filed three entries for the Indianapolis 500 for the second consecutive year, including one for two-time winner Al Unser Jr., while Treadway & Associates Racing filed a second entry for the Greatest Spectacle in Racing.

Kelley became the second team to file three entries for the 86th Indianapolis 500 on May 26 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Team Green was the first.

Unser will drive the No. 7 Corteco/Bryant Dallara/Chevrolet/Firestone, with an identical backup entered. Unser will attempt to make his 15th career Indianapolis 500 start. His victories came in 1992 and 1994.

John Worth is the chief mechanic of the No. 7 entry.

Scott Sharp, 2001 Indianapolis 500 MBNA Pole winner, will drive the No. 8 Delphi Dallara/Chevrolet/Firestone, with an identical backup entered. 1996 Indy Racing League co-champion Sharp will attempt to make his seventh career Indianapolis 500 start. His best finish is 10th in 1996 and 2000.

Robert Perez is the chief mechanic of the No. 8 entry. Jim Freudenberg is the Kelley Racing team manager.

Kelley Racing also entered the No. 28 Dallara/Chevrolet/Firestone, with an identical backup entered. The driver, official car name and chief mechanic will be announced later.

Treadway & Associates Racing entered the No. 55 Airlink Enterprises/Spade Motorsports G Force/Chevrolet/Firestone for rookie Rick Treadway, with an identical backup entered. Treadway is competing for the team this season in the Indy Racing League.

Brian Heriza is the chief mechanic, and Skip Faul is team manager.

The Treadway team filed the first entry for this year's race on Feb. 25, the No. 5 Meijer G Force/Chevrolet/Firestone to be driven by two-time winner Arie Luyendyk.

Entry invitations for the 86th Indianapolis 500 were mailed Feb. 22, and entries must be postmarked by April 3. All drivers will compete for one of the 33 starting spots in the world's most prestigious auto race.
