Indy 500 fans treated to extensive TV coverage.
ABC Sports, ESPN and ESPN2* will provide extensive, live television coverage from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the month of May leading up to the 86th Indianapolis 500.
Coverage will include on-track action and a view of the many behind-the-scenes efforts from the famed Gasoline Alley garage area, as teams and drivers work to find the speed to first qualify for the 'Greatest Spectacle in Racing,' and then challenge for a coveted Indianapolis 500 victory.

'RPM2Night', ESPN2's popular nightly motorsports news show, will air live from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway throughout May. Well-known ESPN and ABC personalities, such as 'RPM2Night' host John Kernan, Dr. Jerry Punch, Marlo Klain and Robin Miller, will keep fans updated on daily developments at The Racing Capital of the World.
ABC, ESPN and ESPN2 will team up to provide seamless coverage of MBNA Pole Qualifying on May 11 and Bump Day qualifications May 19, while ESPN and ESPN2 will cover much of Second Day qualifications May 12.
ESPN will carry 2.5 hours of live coverage from Coors Carb Day on May 23, which includes the crucial two-hour final practice for the "500" starting field and the Coors Indy 500 Pit Stop Challenge.
ABC's live broadcast of the 86th Indianapolis 500 will begin with pre-race coverage at 11 a.m. (EDT) May 26, followed by flag-to-flag coverage of the race at noon. The IMS Radio Network's Race Day live coverage begins at 11 a.m. (EDT) May 26 with a pre-race show, followed by the Indianapolis 500 broadcast at noon. The network will kick off the Indianapolis 500 with a preview show May 5, featuring notes and news on the month of May as well as a recap of the first four races of the 2002 Indy Racing League season.
Four "Indy Live" interview radio talk shows will air during the month, plus morning and afternoon qualifying shows and regular qualifying updates every half-hour on May 11, 12 and 19.
