Hunter-Reay on the list at Andretti
Michael Andretti has confirmed that Ryan Hunter-Reay is his top target to fill the fourth car at his Andretti Autosport team for the 2010 IndyCar Series season.
Hunter-Reay has been linked for some time with a move to the newly-named team to partner Tony Kanaan, Marco Andretti and Danica Patrick - who inked a new extension with the team earlier this week.
Having run Hideki Mutoh in the fourth car last season, Andretti revealed that former Vision and AJ Foyt man Hunter-Reay is the top target to complete his team's line-up for 2010 although he admitted there was still 'a way to go' before the entry of a fourth car would be confirmed.
"I feel good that we're going to gets something," he said. "We still have a way to go, but it's still early. I think we have a real shot at having four cars.
"We have a lot of interest in Ryan for sure. If it would all work out, it would be great. I think he'd be a really good addition to our line-up, and I think he could help push the other ones and make us all better.
"That would be our first choice at the moment."
Hunter-Reay is believed to stand a good chance of securing a drive thanks to his personal sponsorship deal with IZOD, who will become the title sponsors of the IndyCar Series next year.
