With the resignation of David Bowes, who has held the post of Managing Director at Lola Cars for the past four years, Chairman Martin Birrane moved to put in place new management structure for the chassis design and manufacturing firm.

Bowes' departure is effective the end of August.

On Thursday, July 25, Birrane named Howard Dawson interim Chief Executive with immediate effect, reporting to the Chairman. Dawson is joint managing director of Peer Group, Birrane's London-based property company. He is also a Director of Mondello Park International Racing Circuit in Ireland and a member of the board of British Motorsport Promoters Ltd. (BMP).

A successor to Bowes will be appointed, Birrane stated, "in due course." In the meantime, Dawson will work with the existing Lola Group management to take the firm forward with its new organization and structure.

"I have greatly enjoyed the last four years at Lola Cars," Bowes noted. "I feel that we have all achieved much success together. It has, therefore, been a difficult decision to resign and pursue a new challenge. However, I am confident that the current team will continue to see many more successes at Lola in the future, and I wish everyone individually and corporately the very best for the future."
