Injured crewman upgraded in hospital.
Bernie Hallisky, one of two Kelley Racing crewmembers injured in a pitlane accident last weekend at the Kentucky Speedway, has had his condition upgraded from fair to good at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Hallisky, who acted as the left-rear tyre changer for Tony Renna, was struck by Renna's #78 Kruse sponsored Dallara-Chevrolet in the pits during last Sunday's Belterra Casino Indy 300 at the 1.5-mile tri-oval in Sparta, Kentucky. In the accident Hallisky broke his right leg, shattered his pelvis and broke his left hip.

IRL surgeon Dr. Kevin Scheid operated on Hallisky on Sunday evening when his condition was listed as stable and although Hallisky could face a prolonged period in hospital, he will be able to return to duty when fit.
Hallisky's fellow Kelley Racing crew-member Rusty Hurford, is convalescing at home after being released from a local hospital in Kentucky on Sunday evening with what is being described as a 'minor neck injury.'
