"I am very excited to have Merlins Energy Source on board," commented Johansson. He continued, "I have known [Merlin founder] Tim [Kahn] for a long time. He, along with Sabrina [Champi] have created a very progressive company and I look forward to developing a good business relationship as we go forward."
Kahn and Champi developed Merlins Energy Source four years ago after a visit to Johansson's native Sweden.
"I am really excited about our partnership with Stefan (Johansson) and American Spirit Team Johansson," said Kahn. "CART and their focus on the NAFTA community offer a fantastic avenue for Merlins Energy Source to introduce itself to the North American market."
A natural, caffeine free energy drink, Merlins carefully balances guarana seed and ginseng root to increase mental and physical stamina.
"This is an extremely competitive series, both on track and off. Merlins Energy Source will offer a natural advantage for our drivers and crew," added Johansson.
