"We had a great run with a perfect car all weekend. We got the pole Friday, backed it up on Saturday and we needed a great start but unfortunately it did not happen that way. I was not happy but CART reversed the decision, which was the right thing to do. We were quickest in all the sessions but one. Everyone on Team Player's did a wonderful job. They have given me a great car for the last two races. We are going to ride that wave."

BRUNO JUNQUEIRA (#1 PacifiCare Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone) - Finished 2nd:
"On the start, I began to accelerate at the start cone or just before that. At Toronto, Paul accelerated a little bit before the cone but he didn't do that here, so I pretty much passed him. I have to see the replay. It's difficult for me to say anything about it other than that at this point."

SEBASTIEN BOURDAIS (#2 Lilly Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone) - Finished 3rd:
"It feels pretty good to be up here in the top three today. I felt sorry about what happened on the first lap. I was side by side with two other cars and I had no room to go anywhere. I thought it was going to be a long, long afternoon after the contact but my guys told me to stick with it. We had a great car this weekend. It's just a shame we didn't get a better start."

MICHEL JOURDAIN JR. (#9 Gigante Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone) - Finished 4th:
"This was pretty much a typical race for Vancouver. I wasn't surprised there was a problem in the first turn, because there is always a problem in the first turn here. When Roberto [Moreno] spun in front of me I had nowhere to go and I just lost a couple of spots to Patrick [Carpentier] and Alex [Tagliani]. We focused on closing the gap heading into the first pit stop and the crew did a great job to gain me a spot. Once again the Gigante car was great on cold tires and that allowed me to get by Bruno right after the stop. We did the best we could today and we'll take the points. Still it is disappointing to lose more ground to PT in the championship, but he has been strong the last couple of weeks. "

DARREN MANNING (#15 RAC/Walker Racing Ford-Cosworth/Reynard/Bridgestone) - Finished 5th:

The guys did a fantastic job in that last stop; they changed the front wing in about 15 seconds including changing all four tires and fuelling for the rest of the race. Eventually we battled away to fifth place."

RYAN HUNTER-REAY (#31 American Spirit Team Johansson
Ford-Cosworth/Reynard/Bridgestone) - Finished 6th:
"I am pleased with my result, but I can't help but be frustrated and disappointed because I think we could have been fifth. I spent a lot of time be held up by some guys that were misbehaving out there. CART did a good job today, but the damage was done. We hung in there all-day and charged hard. The car ran well. We need to get down our qualifying game and stop starting back in the wasps nests, we have a lot of work to do. I can't wait to get to Road America, it is my favourite racetrack. This was an awesome event, the fans here are just incredible and we appreciate it."

MARIO HABERFELD (#34 Mi-Jack/Conquest Racing
Ford-Cosworth/Reynard/Bridgestone) - Finished 7th:
"I think we had mixed feelings about the race. Our finish of 7th was good as we started 10th, but we were up for a 5th place finish until 30 laps to go when the gearbox broke and we lost 2nd and 3rd gears. From then on it was a struggle. On one hand we were lucky to finish the race and on the other hand we were unlucky to have the gearbox brake. The whole team and Andy did a great job; we were by far the fastest Reynard out there."

RODOLFO LAVIN (#5 Corona Ford-Cosworth/Reynard/Bridgestone) - Finished 8th:
"This a great finish for the Corona Walker Racing team. We struggled a bit this weekend, but to come from 18th to eighth place, our best finish of the season, is outstanding. It's a shame about the penalty. I don't feel I was blocking. I don't think he was close enough to get by me. I wasn't trying to hold him up, I was just waiting for him to get closer to me in the breaking zones and let him by there. It's difficult to defend your own position and still let the leaders by immediately. It's still a strong finish for the team though."

MAX PAPIS (#27 PK Racing Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone) - Finished 9th:
"I think you can see the progress. I'm really glad with the way we were running today. It was a little bit of a troubled race. We were doing really well until we got the drive-thru penalty. We'll have to review the tape to see why we got it. I was charging really hard, but it's impossible to pass on this track. I got a puncture in the middle of the race, and I went back out and charged very hard until I made a mistake when I touched the wall and bent the rear suspension."

MARIO DOMINGUEZ (#55 Herdez Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone) - Finished 10th:
"Even though we brought home some points, it's unfortunate because we had a car for a least a top five finish. But we got a bad break coming together with Monteiro on the first lap and from there on, we were behind the game. I wasn't really worried about starting in 12th - it's a unique characteristic of this track I think; it doesn't seem to matter how the car is handling because once the track gets rubbered in, the car starts working great.

"My car was really awesome today. I probably passed more people today than in the whole season so far! I know we had good lap times too. So I'm happy that we got some points and finished the race even though I know we could have done more."

JIMMY VASSER (#12 American Spirit Team Johansson
Ford-Cosworth/Reynard/Bridgestone) - 11th/Retired on lap 90:
"We had a decent race going and we lost third gear around lap 73. It completely gave out on 90. Other than that, we had some issues getting our tire pressures up after the first stop and we lost about 15 seconds, then the jack dropped on the second lap. We fought back though, it looked like we were going to be in the top six maybe five, but we'll be back for more next weekend."

ADRIAN FERNANDEZ (#51 Tecate/Quaker State/Telmex
Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone) - 12th/Retired on lap 72:
"The start was a little crazy but we managed to stay clear of the mess. We had great pit stops and made some passes on the track. Our pit strategy was working well. [Darren] Manning tried a banzai move on the back straight. He was quick and he would have passed me eventually. I didn't expect him to pass me there so quickly, so when I turned he hit me on the right sidepod and that is what probably damaged the oil cooler.

"Eventually I started smelling oil. The team said everything was looking good on the data but I smelled it and slowed the pace drastically. I didn't want to end up in the wall. It was just not worth it. We came into the pits and there was a huge amount of oil coming out of the car. It was a shame because even though we were struggling in the race, we could have held on."

PATRICK CARPENTIER (#32 Player's/Indeck Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone) - 13th/Retired on lap 60:
"He is no rookie (Mario Dominguez) and he should know better. I saw him coming and I gave him all the room he needed, but he was coming way too fast to make the turn and he collected me. It's unfortunate, and it's frustrating because he was two laps down. We were having a good run after a great start where I moved into third place and a great pit stop by Team Player's, which promoted me to second place and running one-two. It's frustrating to have such a finish in Canada."

ALEX TAGLIANI (#33 Johnson Controls Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone) - 14th/Retired on lap 30:
"Like Toronto, we had a good start and climbed a few positions. The car was feeling good and we corrected the problems we had with the right front tire. We thought we'd be able to run a good race with the car. I'm very confused about what happened. The guy (Tiago Monteiro) was four laps down and we weren't even competing for the same spot, so I don't know what he was doing trying to pass so aggressively. I saw him coming up fast behind me and thought 'oh no' so I moved over to give him some room, but he came charging through and sent me into the tires. I don't know what to say. It's very upsetting and frustrating."

TIAGO MONTEIRO (#7 Fittipaldi-Dingman
Ford-Cosworth/Reynard/Bridgestone) - 15th/Retired on lap 27:
"It's very disappointing. First lap crashes are always stupid, but everyone is fighting for position. Then we had a very good car, I was actually going 6th fastest. Before the first pit stop, we were really competitive, the team is really improving and I'm working better and better with my engineer. The 2nd accident was once again silly as I was on hot tires and Tag on cold tires and when I went inside to pass him he just closed the door. We did a very good test in Elkhart Lake last month so we're really looking forward to that race and we'll forget this one."

ORIOL SERVIA (#20 Visteon/Patrick Racing
Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone) - 16th/Retired on lap 4:
"At the start of the race we went into the first corner and someone crashed, so everyone starting braking. I almost got together with (Darren) Manning, but we managed to avoid contact. However, I had to go to the outside and (Mario) Haberfeld passed me. Then (Tiago) Monteiro decided to pass me, but I had the inside line on the next corner. At first I thought he was gone, but he put his right front wheel in front of my left and I went up in the air. When I came down I broke the right rear suspension. It is a shame because the Visteon/Patrick Racing car was really great in the morning warm-up and we thought we had a chance to finish on the podium today."

ROBERTO MORENO (#4 Herdez Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone) - 17th/Retired on lap 3:
"The Herdez Competition team gave me a car that definitely could have won the race today. We all know how hard it is to start this race cleanly so I was being very careful, making sure I stayed out of trouble. And then someone who has never been here before and doesn't realize, tries the impossible and hits me. There's nothing you can do then - the day is over. I was so pleased to be able to come back here to race in Vancouver though. Herdez Competition has given me a great opportunity. I'm still young in my heart and I have a lot more racing left in me. Right now, I'm just glad we have another race next weekend in Elkhart Lake so I can get out my frustrations."
