English Champ Car driver Darren Manning (Walker Racing) and Bartercard Miss Indy Lauren Lillie helped launch the Acer Course Car competition with the
rare Bengal tigers at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast earlier this week.
Enthusiasts attending the Lexmark Indy 300 from October 23 to October 26 on the Gold Coast will find out details on how to enter the competition via Indy FMTV, which provides spectators with the on-track broadcast of all the big races.
Fans who can't get along to the Lexmark Indy 300 also have the chance to win the official Acer Course Car. The competition will be running through Network Ten's coverage of the Lexmark Indy 300 on October 25 and 26.
Acer, supported by Intel is a new principal partner of the Lexmark Indy 300. The combination of Acer and Intel Centrino mobile technology is enabling the Lexmark Indy 300 to be the first Australian motorsport event to be 'unwired' taking the race to a new level in flexible communication.
The Acer sponsorship will allow spectators trackside with wireless-enabled notebooks and mobile communication devices to access the Internet, check email and download files within the Lexmark Indy 300 LAN.
As part of its support, Acer is sponsoring the Official Course Car, the silver 2003 Holden Monaro.
The Official Course Car plays an integral part in ensuring the safety and the seamless running of the four-day spectacular. The Acer Course Car opens and closes the track after each session of racing, ensuring it is safe and clear for the next race.
Lexmark Indy 300 General Manager James Ashworth said the competition is sure to attract enormous interest with the lure of a 2003 Holden Monaro as the prize.
