It was a strange session. We were trying to wait for a little bit, then when we decided to go out, so did everyone else. The first run was filled with a lot of traffic. I just couldn't find a gap the whole time to get in a good run. I just never found a rhythm this session. The red came out at just the right time for Rodolfo and me.

This feels really great. It is great for me, Corona, and my team. We struggled yesterday because the car was not very good. We worked real hard on the car last night and the car was great today. We are showing what we can do with a good car and a good team. We're getting the results that we're looking for and hope to continue with this positive momentum for race day tomorrow.

Sebastien Bourdais - starts third:

I am just happy to be starting third and glad that I will be up front for the start of the race. Each time we went out a new tires, we just couldn't get a good run. Running into traffic, but mostly, going out then a red flag coming out. There were a lot of surprises this session for a lot of people. The McDonald's car is good, we will make some changes for tomorrow, and try to keep it out front.

Mario Dominguez - starts fourth:

I am very happy, we were second fastest this afternoon and are starting fourth again on the second row for the second straight race, so that is good. I could have set a faster time on the second set of tyres, but with the red flags we didn't get a chance, so we will never know. I am pleased though I have a good race car, my crew has done a great job and my engineer Mike Cannon gave me a great set-up."

The changes we made to the car since the first qualifying sessions have helped us, and that is encouraging. I feel we could have done even better, but some of the drivers who were fast yesterday were holding up traffic in today's session, impeding myself and other drivers from posting faster times.
Bruno Junqueira - starts eighth:

I think something happened to the car before I hit the curb. The car felt different for a while. I wasn't confident in it so I slowed down to get a feel for the car. Maybe I started to damage the suspension slowly, and then it broke. It is a shame. My car was so good in the 15-minutes of practice that I thought we could go for the pole. With all the red flags and traffic, maybe we could have at least been fastest in the session and start second. With old tyres, I ran the third fastest time, so with new tyres; we could have definitely run up front. I hope we can fix the car for tomorrow and have a good race.
Alex Tagliani - starts ninth:

The team took a gamble with our strategy this afternoon by waiting to go out later in the session. Unfortunately I got caught in many red flags and wasn't able to get a good lap in. The Johnson Controls team did all they could to give me a fast car and we weren't able to show what it was able to do. We'll have to work on our race strategy for tomorrow and try to pass, which isn't easy on this track. I have a good car and I'll have to keep my nose clean and make no mistakes in the race. I'll have to keep an eye on what the guys are doing on the track and look for opportunities to pass.
Ryan Hunter-Reay - starts tenth:

We started out with progress made this morning so we went into this afternoon's final qualifying session optimistic. Unfortunately this afternoon we just couldn't dial out the understeer. We ended up sixth this afternoon and a very disappointing 10th overall. It's a long race, we are going to have to work hard tomorrow.
A.J. Allmendinger - starts eleventh:

Unfortunately it's the same problem again. We've tried different strategies in qualifying to deal with traffic, but we get caught out by red flags. It's really too bad because the #10 Western Union car was feeling good this morning and I thought we could do better. On a positive note, I do think we've got a solid race car. So we'll try and stay out of trouble on the start and bring home a good finish.
Michel Jourdain Jr - starts twelfth:

On every good lap we had going, it was either traffic or a red flag that got us. We made some changes for the second run, and the car responded completely different than we expected. I haven't really finished a race in three races, so I'm looking forward to getting the job done tomorrow. I've had good finishes here the last two years and I feel that the #9 Gigante car is a good race car, so we'll do our best to get the result we know we're capable of.
Mario Haberfeld - starts 14th:

The car has gotten better throughout the weekend. We still have a bit of an understeer problem, but hopefully it will be better tomorrow. I think we could've been better, but I also started in this position in Toronto, where I had my best result of the season. I hope to repeat that performance tomorrow.

I think the Nextel car is at least three tenths quicker than what we showed because of all the red flags and incidents that slowed things down. Still, that's not good enough. The positive thing to take from this is that we're moving in the right direction now and the car has been reacting to the changes we've made. Our goal is to run in the top seven like we were able to do in Toronto, since these tracks are so similar.
Alex Sperafico - starts 17th:

I need to thank my crew for working so quickly in repairing my car in time for qualifying. The car felt good, but there were too many yellow and red flags interrupting the session. I am starting in a familiar position on the grid, and most likely will adopt the same strategy we used in Toronto, which is basically to stay out of trouble and gain spots slowly as the race progresses.
