Fans of the Champ Car World Series already have a number of ways to keep up to date with all the latest goings on in the championship, and they will soon have an option they can carry in their pockets thanks to an innovative new feature from Digital Orchid.

The company has created 'Champ Car Everywhere,' which will provide the latest in real-time Champ Car information to fans via their wireless applications such as cell phones and other hand-held technologies. The service will provide video and audio from the race track as well as updated leaderboards, standings, schedules and driver information directly to the fan, and will also include other Champ Car-themed products such as ring tones and wallpapers.

'Champ Car Everywhere' will officially launch and be made available this month over all major carrier and handsets.

"Champ Car fans everywhere have always been quick to adapt to new technologies, and we feel that this new partnership will provide a very attractive feature to the fans," Champ Car president Dick Eidswick said. "The great feature of this product is that not only does it provide additional information to the fans that attend our races, but it also provides up-to-the-minute coverage to fans around the world in a convenient fashion."

'Champ Car Everywhere' will be available to fans through the partnership with Digital Orchid, who has developed similar technologies for NASCAR and the National Hockey League. Digital Orchid will offer Champ Car content to over 1.2 billion customers through the TODOMO multi-language platform, allowing fans around the world to follow the Champ Car World Series.

"Digital Orchid has proven itself a leader in delivering real time wireless applications in the United States," Daniel Daou, CEO of Digital Orchid said following the announcement. "This, coupled with Champ Car's global presence, allows us to now give racing enthusiasts everywhere access to a full suite of wireless racing products, previously unavailable to consumer handsets. This application is setting the standard and currently unmatched in the industry."
