Making his return to the Champ Car ranks for the first time since winning the 2002 Championship, da Matta will team with 1996 Champion Jimmy Vasser in the third year PKV team, co-owned by Champ Car co-owner Kevin Kalkhoven, Vasser and Dan Pettit.
