MIPS: Indian driver Husain to make Indy history.

Imran Husain became the first Indian born driver to turn a competitive Menards Infiniti Pro Series lap at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Tuesday running for Genoa Racing.

Husain, who will become the first Indian to race at Indianapolis in this month's Futaba Freedom 100, turned more than 100 laps on Tuesday with a best speed of 184.095mph.

"Out of a billion people, I'll be the first Indian driver to race at Indianapolis, which is a very historic track," commentated the Los Angeles based driver. "For me personally, it has a lot of significance. I've always wanted to run the Indianapolis 500, and this is the first step toward it."
