For any avid IRL IndyCar Series fan with $75,000 burning a hole in their back pocket, the Neiman Marcus Christmas Book has the ideal Christmas present for you and, well, not many of your loved ones.
In said book, you will find a replica simulator of the #26 Klein Tools/Jim Beam Dallara-Honda that carried Dan Wheldon to the 2005 Indianapolis 500 and IRL
IndyCar Series titles.
The simulator, very similar to what racing fans see each week at IndyCar Series events, was announced as part of the popular Neiman Marcus Christmas Book. The full-bodied car features a high-tech flat-screen monitor with stand, and is powered by the IndyCar Series 2005 XBox video game.
But if the simulator alone isn't enough to get you going, the buyer can also take advantage of the ultimate 2006 Indianapolis 500 hospitality package for two, which includes a ride in the Indy Racing Experience two-seater.
The package also includes round-trip airfare, hotel (four nights), ground transportation and parking for the weekend, credentials and pit access, VIP seating, the chance to meet Tony George, CEO of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the Indy Racing League, and IRL IndyCar Series drivers, a behind-the-scenes tour of the ABC Sports broadcast compound with ABC Sports on-air celebrities and tickets to the Indianapolis 500 Victory Celebration, plus food, beverages, and autographed IndyCar Series merchandise.
There are two prices: $65,000 for the simulator and $75,000 for the simulator and the hospitality package. Both items are part of the "Fantasy Gifts" section of the book.
Among the other items it is listed with is a Lexus GS 450H, an M400 Skycar prototype, a one-of-kind tree sculpture by artisan/builder Roderick Romero, a "Dreamboat" levitating sculpture and a private concert with Sir Elton John.
