IPS: Cape Brothers join Andersen effort.
Respected engineers Dominic and Nicholas Cape have joined Andersen Racing for the team's entry into the Indy Pro Series next season, further bolstering the set-up after John Andersen also threw his weight behind the multi-discipline outfit.
While team owner Dan Andersen confirmed that brother John would officially become a co-owner in 2007, he also announced that the ex-pat Cape brothers, who originally hail, from England, would switch their attention from F2000 to lead the engineering crew on the team's new IPS programme.

"We have reached an agreement with the Capes where Dominic will serve as the chief engineer for our Indy Pro Series programme, and Nicolas will be the lead mechanic," Andersen said, "My brother John will be the team manager of that whole programme.
"I've known the Capes for over 15 years. They fielded cars in the Formula Ford 2000 series when I was the administrator of it, and I've also raced against them as a team owner. They have had a great deal of success in the sport, including running JR Hildebrand this year, when he dominated the Cooper Tyres F2000 series.
"John has also worked with them closely for the last five years, since he was the director of race operations for that series. He's observed their methods and style, and we both think they'll be great assets to Andersen Racing. We're impressed with their long list of racing accomplishments and their work ethic. They've always been a winning team, and we're very pleased to be able to add them to our roster for 2007."
The Capes both admitted that they were looking forward to joining forces with the Andersens - and that they were pleased to be back working on Dallaras, having used the Italian company's F3 cars in the past.
"We're big fans of Dallaras, and we're very enthusiastic to not only be a part of Andersen Racing, but also to be a part of such an exciting series as the Indy Pro Series," Dominic Cape said.
Andersen Racing hopes to field two cars in the Pro Series in 2007, although drivers for either car have yet to be confirmed.
"When we finalise our plans for the second car, Nicolas will move over to that car to be its chief engineer," John Andersen added, confirming that the Capes would also act as consultants in Andersen Racing's multi-car Star Mazda and Hankook Tyres Formula Ford 2000 programmes.
