The British team, which had been running in the top five with Collins at the wheel, thought it had lost the sister #21 car early on, after Scott Maxwell skidded off the flooded track at the Tertre Rouge esses. The Canadian had only just recovered from a similar incident at Arnage, and repaired to the pits for attention. However, concerted work on the car co-driven by Klaas Zwart and Xavier Pompidou eventually allowed the Frenchman to return to the fray. The car is 135 laps adrift of the leaders.

Sadly, despite receiving instructions over the pit-to-car radio, Collins was unable to repair the #20 car after it became stranded out on the Mulsanne, and the entry was officially withdrawn by the team in the 15th hour.
